FAQ
Find answers to frequently asked questions about submitting a project for curatorial review and inclusion in the annual Wellness + Design Collection (WDC).
What is Wellness + Design Collection (WDC)?
Wellness + Design Collection, or WDC, is an independent editorial platform dedicated to wellness, hospitality, and design.
Through editorial features and an annual curated hardcover Collection, WDC documents completed projects that demonstrate a thoughtful relationship between design, well-being, and the guest experience.
The Collection brings together selected work from architects, interior designers, landscape architects, hospitality brands, and multidisciplinary studios around the world.
What types of projects can be submitted?
WDC accepts completed projects across the hospitality, wellness, and leisure industries, including hotels, resorts, spas, retreats, fitness spaces, social wellness destinations, and other environments designed to support physical and emotional well-being.
Is there a fee to submit a project?
No. Projects may be submitted for editorial review without charge.
If a project is selected, the studio will receive a formal invitation to join the printed hardcover Collection, along with the complete publication scope, one-time inclusion fee, and production schedule.
How are projects selected?
Projects are reviewed by the WDC editorial team based on the quality of the design, the clarity of the project’s ideas, its relationship to well-being, and its contribution to the wider field of wellness and hospitality design.
While submission does not guarantee selection for publication, every project will be carefully considered by the WDC editorial team.
What happens if our project is selected?
Selected projects will receive a formal invitation outlining why the project was chosen, what the published inclusion covers, the materials required, the production timeline, and the one-time inclusion fee.
The designers and operators can then decide whether to confirm its printed Collection.
Does payment guarantee publication in the printed Collection?
Yes. The inclusion fee applies only after a project has been selected and formally invited into the Collection.
Once the studio confirms participation and completes the required materials and payment, the project will be included in the printed Collection, subject to WDC’s publication guidelines and production requirements.
What is included in the publication fee?
The publication fee covers the agreed editorial, design, and production scope for the project. This may include editorial development, English-language text, project layout, studio and photography credits, publication in the hardcover collection, digital presentation, and copies of the completed book.
The exact scope will be provided in the formal invitation.
Can studios and operators submit more than one project?
Yes. Studios and operators may submit multiple completed projects for review. Each project will be considered independently and must meet WDC’s editorial criteria.
Who can submit a project?
Submissions may be made by architects, interior designers, landscape architects, multidisciplinary studios, hotel groups, developers, operators, or authorized representatives of the project team.
The submitting party must have permission to provide the project information and imagery.
